The Deal

Mechanic : Ah Meng 019-931 3312 LandRover Regn No : WAX 2179 The Deal : The LR was not in running condition..saw the LR on the Deal Date. 1. Seller(Peter Hindle, hereafter as PH) assured that ALL parts required to put the LR back on the road were available and will be provided. (Some parts(eg. radiator, prop shaft, clutch assembly, carb mounting and etc) were missing on the Deal Date but PH assured that he will obtain them) 2. Documents for ownership transfer were incomplete because ownership has not been transferred to PH. PH assured that he will obtain all necessary documents so that the LR can be transferred to my name 3. In view of 1 and 2(where there were missing parts and incomplete docs), PH offered to tow the LR to his mechanic(Ah Meng 019-931 3312 in Kuantan) to put the LR back together while PH obtain the necessary docs for ownership transfer. PH also assured that Ah Meng is very meticulous and reliable...in addition, PH can help to oversee the job. Without hesitation, I agreed(my initial plan was to tow the LR back to KL but in view of 1 and 2, it will be better to put the LR back together in Kuantan. 4. PH told me that Ah Meng will make a list of items that I need to obtain (eg lights, lubricant, filters, belt) once the LR is towed to Ah Meng's workshop I PAID PH in FULL (RM3600) on 20 Feb 2010 After about a week, I called PH asking on the progress...he claimed that he is away in JB and will get back to me once he is back to Kuantan. I also told him that I need to list to parts which I am supposed to get for Ah Meng....weeks passed without a call from PH. I chased PH and he gave me Ah Meng's hp. I called Ah meng and Ah Meng was not happy with the LR. Ah Meng told me that PH is a difficult guy and I should not have paid PH in full. Months passed with NUMEROUS emails to PH. He kept assuring me that Ah Meng is working on it. I tried calling Ah Meng but he refused to answer my calls. After a few weeks, PH refused to reply my emails. I gave him datelines, telling him that if he fail to deliver the LR and the docs before the dateline, I would seek for full refund...I also requested,many times, for Ah Meng's address but he refused to provide. Failing to get PH's reply,on 27 June 2010, I wrote to all his friends(under Baygraf Sdn Bhd) in Facebook(http://www.facebook.com/people/James-Hindle/641801889#!/profile.php?id=1258927951&ref=ts)....he wrote back claiming that I have not been fair to him. I gave him a second chance to deliver the LR and docs, giving him another dateline....he got his former staff, Nora 012-9085624 to get the LR delivered. Nora told me that the docs are not with her and Ah Meng refused to release the LR b'cos PH owed him some payments and NOTHING has been done to the LR!! PH wrote back to me that the LR can be collected and docs are ready on Tues......He told me to call Nora to arrange. I tried calling(and sms) Nora but Nora refused to get involved. In addition, PH refused to assure me that he will be responsible for missing parts and if the documents are complete, as he had assured me on the 20 Feb 2010....he wrote and told that he will no longer reply my emails. I am now left with NO LandRover, No Documents, No Refund. I wonder why a Professional person like Peter James Hindle would stoop so low for RM3600. Baygraf Sdn. Bhd.
